In a world shaped by conflict, war, and destruction, Across Borders highlights how people and communities across the globe are resisting violence, injustice, and exclusion. Through carefully curated feature films and documentaries, the series crosses geographical, political, and emotional borders to envision peace, reconciliation, and justice in a fragmented world.
The selected films open new perspectives on global realities and move beyond sensationalism, focusing instead on human dignity, coexistence, resilience, and ethical choices in times of crisis.
Audiences are invited on cinematic journeys to Brazil, Sudan, Venezuela, Palestine, Malawi, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Chile, and Mexico. The programme brings together voices from the Global South and beyond, fostering intercultural understanding.
There will be networking sessions, and movie discussions with directors and participants.
All events are open to the public and free of charge.
